The Life Knight was a great success having the origins of King Arthur helping us to understand the importance of leaving room for the holy spirit to work in our lives. Ultimately, what ever we choose to do, we can not fully answer to God's call with out the presence of the Holy Spirit. We constantly have the daily call, thus the struggle, to follow through with inviting the Holy Spirit into our lives to assure that we do bear fruit to the glory of our God. So hope to see you all as we celebrate a greater understanding of the Holy Trinity this coming Sunday.

Pentecost is fast approaching, meaning the end of the Easter Season, but far from any kind of spiritual end. Pentecost is more of an upgrade to how we are to live a more apostolic life with the presence of God with us, to live as Christ is beside us, living in FULLNESS. Just as it origianlly began as a feast of first rich harvests, when the greatest crops and fist livestock were given to God, so must we be called to give our best to God all the more. Anytype of ministry work may sound as distant as becoming a missionary at some third world country but our personal relationship with Christ leads us to a natural daily life changing ministry that is lead by the Holy Spirit as long as our hearts are open to his love. So before we celebrate the feast of Pentecost, contemplate on your daily struggles and drama, to trade them for the Holy Spirit. If you need more inspiration to do so, come by to the OLG room (Our Lady of Guadelupe, located by the pavilion and school field, for a LT gathering called Life Knight.
Looking forward to seeing you there, with love and much prayers, through Christ

Welcome back from a great Mother's day weekend. Hope you have been able to celebrate it with your own, with our Blessed Mother Mary honored as well. The coming Life Nights will be centered around the liturgical year, starting with the Ascension of our Lord. So come on over to celebrate with us a deep meaning of his Ascension as we rediscover how to take it to heart, with his Holy Spirit, in order to move ourselves do a higher calling.
We look forward to seeing you there at Mass and the Life Night
April 27, 2010
The past few Life Nights have come and gone, but still continue to have a lasting impression on me, hopefully on you who have gone. The topics we covered where Fear and Holy Madness, both intermingled with the same message of acting on our faith towards our first love, Christ. How easily it is to forget whom we belong to when we get caught up in what other people think, thus fearing their judgment on how they view us rather than fearing to stay true to our love for God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In light of HOLY MADNESS, we were reminded live as Christians and not soley the social norm. That even the simple smile when we hear of others praying or mention of God could show how crazy we are for him. FEAR explored our reasons why we often hold ourselves back from living as true, wild, bold, pushy, abrasive, in-your face, rugged, loving and accepting disciples of Christ, whom taught us by his example.
So i urge you all to pray more often, especially during your times of business, how did we become lazy Christians that would dare to put prayer in the back burners of our lives when it is as essencial as air it self. Only through a constant, daily, habitual prayer can we ever grow deeper in our faith, and ultimately closer to Christ.
your servant in Christ,
Ron

Great turn out this past Edge and Lifeteen youth groups. Edge found out two ways to build a flame, the first through the literal sense while competitors acted out the best way to build a camp fire then the next how to build your spiritual fire through where to look up fuel for your spiritual flames with in scripture. As for Life Teen, they have read up on four examples of spiritual obedience, through the lessons learned through Adam & Eve, Moses, Abaraham, and Jesus. Since all we all struggled with our little struggles of diet control we all still struggle with our spiritual hunger even after Lent. The night summed up to how our spirituality mirrors any 'Get Slim Diet', to where we struggle with a stronger relationship with Christ, because we all want the quick results, like six-pack abs are to P90x, as is hearing God's voice clearly is to Discipleship. So as it is important to strive for a holier life style rather than looking for a quick fix. Since our faith isn't in totality with out our obedience, which translates to our action to following what God asks of us to do.
With in cross-ministry, our Pro-life ministry had a great start up rally with many speakers and a balloon release to symbolize our prayers for aborted and un-born babies sent to God. A great short video was played, cheesy at times, but one thing rang out, how pro-choice women use "This is my Body" as a battle cry to defend their choice to end a life, while Christ uses the same battle cry during every mass when he says, "This is my Body" to defend your right to a fullness of LIFE.
so in light of it all, do your BODY some good and love a little more; incase you feel low, know that you are loved.
your servant through Christ,
Ron

So there's a bit of a hiccup with the "Got a Question" section of the site (GO FIGURE...A problem with the website). We get questions, but it doesn't give us a way to reply. So whoever had a question about Communion, please email me at mat@gogojoe.com and I'll get back to you ASAP. Other than that, we have some exciting Life Nights and Edge Nights coming up, not to mention another Ontario Reign Hockey Game and a 30 Hour Famine with our neighbors, St. Anthonys. Check out our calendar page for details. Hope your 2010 is going well so far and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
In Him,
Mat

Happy Ash Wednesday to you all...I hope you were proud and committed enough to get your ashes. So today marks the beginning of Lent. A season of fasting and preparation. A season of examining yourself spiritually and figuring out the things you need to work on with God. A time where giving up chocolate is not something you do because you don't eat that much chocolate anyway, but because you gorge yourself in it everyday, and every time you want it but restrain, you remember that you gave it up for God. So stay strong during this time of preparation, and for those of you getting confirmed, open yourself up to what the Spirit has in store.
PS...Remember to check our calendar for the latest and greatest (like Youth Day in Anaheim on March 18th, or The Ontario Reign Hockey Game March 21st).
Hope to see you at Life Nights,
Mat
